Anyone who uses OBS can help maybe?

So ive been dealing with this for a while but OBS really doesn't like some stuff on the server. The worst thing it does is black out my entire screen on recording when im looking at a gun on the ground. The sides of my recordings are more dark and some stuff kinda glitches through each other. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you running Gary's Mod in windowed, full screen or windowed borderless?
Also how are you recording the game are you using monitor capture, game capture or window capture?

Try running in fullscreen borderless and use window capture to see if that does anything?
