British people very important question about junior school

Did you have to say the Lord’s Prayer every day or every week I thought this was a completely normal thing we had to do but apparently I was the only one that did it we would start every year learning a line each day as well as the national anthem I thought everyone did this wtf?

We were told to stand and say your pledge of allegiance in politics but I refused out of respect for Her Majesty and got used as an example of the first amendment
