Computer freezing

My computer freezes every time I play different games, it doesnt matter if its a big game to render in or alot of objectes its just a matter of time, I have tried raising the fan to incase overheating, underlock my system, checking the ram, formating my computer incase it was something backdoored, I have updated the drivers, switched headset and usb ports incase it had something to do with the headset or usb port being damaged, I can't alt tab or anything out the game the sound and everything just stops and I have to restart it from the button, I can play for 10 minutes to sometimes 5 hours without having the problem.

Had the same issue a couple of weeks ago.

What the computer shop did for me was look through my BIOS and they noticed that it was probably my BIOS settings fucking it up for me. They reset the settings, and I haven't had the issue ever since. Maybe you've overclocked it or some settings are fucking you up.
