Should food and drinks be changed to a more RPG like system?

This is a simple question, but it's something that has been thrown back and forth for the better part of 17 years if you include the original Pulsar Effect RP community in 08'.

When I say, "Should it be an RPG like system?" I don't mean being able to cast fireballs and bind on people, but I do mean having food effect the player in more tangible ways outside of the bog standard thirst and hunger. For example, should food influence how you play? Maybe after drinking an energy drink you get a speedboost of ~10% or when you eat a fish you can swim without losing as much stamina. It seems stupid, but stuff like this opens the door to possibilities in the server for an entirely new economy that has a greater impact on everyone's playstyle.

What economy you might ask? Imagine you have to grow crops and catch fish/wildlife, and then you can cook them and then can sell them at your respective stores. Each recipe has unique effects that allow players some sort of minor stat boost. Nothing to extreme, but enough to be noticeable. You could even throw in debuffs for certain foods that counteract other boosts.

But the big question here is... Would this be worth it?

Just want to see what everyones views are and what they'd see as acceptable for an updated farming/cooking system.

While it would add more to RP, it’s extremely unrealistic and you could probably achieve a similar or even better experience by just overhauling the current food system as it is extremely lacklustre. The current food system is just fish, cook fish then buy water/gatorade or maybe milk. I wouldn’t be surprised if the current system does receive an overhaul in the future, although we may be waiting a bit.

TBH, I think it'd be worthwhile to do if it wasn't over the top. 5% stat buffs/nerfs depending on meals cooked, and you can't stack it. In terms of how to get items for cooking though, do you think the current planters could still be used for growing food crops and the like? And if the food crops are added we'd need to update the stoves to be some kind of more refined system.

The only thing I can really think of would be Rust's cooking system.
