When I'm playing PERP and I get into a shootout, I get like 15-20fps but then when I die and I respawn, it feels like it's maxed my FPS to 20 or something, when my demo stops my fps goes all fine. Does anyone know how to fix this?

PERP is usually like this unless you have a great CPU and GPU it will be very difficult for you to get good FPS. the only way you can improve your FPS is to use commands such as;

R_3dsky 0
R_shadows 0
Gmod_mcore_test 1
r_drawdetailprops 0
r_drawbatchdecals 0
cl_threaded_bone_setup -1

These will increase your FPS slightly but not massively. You can see a difference though with these

As it has been said many times, Garry's Mod isn't very GPU intensive. A 1050Ti would be sufficient enough to run this game properly and still be able to play other titles at a comfortable framerate (at 1080p ofc).

All you really need is a good CPU because of all the scripts and other processes. A higher end i5 (7th or 8th gen) should suffice.
