Fucking old computer doesnt do shit anymore

Well, as I recently noticed, many of my games ARE LAGGING THE SHIT OUTTA ME! So I decided: Fuck my money, I need a new PC. I can pay up to 1500€, so I guess some good stuff will be in.


Stuff I want/decided to take:
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231v3 4x3.6GHz @HT 8x3.6GHz
Mainboard: MSI H97 Gaming 3
Power Unit: BeQuiet Straight Power 500W CM
RAM: 16GB (tell me if yes/no and which make) (its ddr3 due to my mainboard)
CPU Cooler: Alpenföhn Brocken ECO
Graphics Card: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970 4000MB VRAM

Tell me what you think about it. Open for any recommendations.

What are you doing with regards to hard drive storage and such.

I'd recommend a 2TB hard drive and a small storage SSD to store your OS on, your PC will boot extremely fast if the OS is on an SSD.

Idk if the DDR3 RAM is compatible with the 980ti, please tell me and also some motherboard recommendations would be appreciated.

Get the GTX 980 over the 970. Way more better than the 970 and better value for money

A xeon? Why on earth pay so much for a peice of garbage like that. An i3 is better for gaming than a xeon.
