Description of the idea: Give SS access to segments of the police computer such as searching names/phone numbers, employees, and warrants. Access to information is between medic and police officer.

Why should this be added? (pros):
+ allows secret service to do their actual job by tracking down and reporting suspicious persons/death threats by phone, what they do irl
+ allows secret service to view employees (other SS, medics, police, etc)
+ allows secret service to vet entrants to check their criminal records/warrants before allowing them in the mayor's presence
+ allows secret service to know known warranted subjects and prevent them/report them from getting near the mayor

What negatives could this have? (cons):
none, you need to be LEO to be SS, and SS are accountable to PLPD IA so no real disadvantages

This is a good idea, it could be helpful for preventing warranted suspects from getting close to the Mayor. I'd also like to add the ability for Police Supervisors who are SS to have the ability to add warrants, this has no real disadvantage and allows Police Supervisors who are SS to issue warrants for threats towards the Mayor, etc.

while this isn't strictly true there are other ways SS are accountable I still think this is a very good idea and would enhance SS roleplay beyond standing around the mayor and having cops ask you in public "HEY SS DID YOU SEE THIS"

SS agents should also have the ability to communicate with officers through voice radio but only officers in there district / area. SS agents are considered PLPD personnel and should have the ability to see warranted suspects. Personally they don’t need the ability to background check someone imo and maybe said responsibility could be bestowed upon the mayor?
