GTX 970 owners get $30 refund (soon)

You guys might've heard about or experienced the "3.5 GB VRAM scandal" firsthand, and I know that a lot of people have GTX 970's in this community. So I thought I would just give a heads up for all the GTX 970 owners about Nvidia soon giving $30 to all GTX 970 owners. I was going to buy a 970 next week for my new pc, does this mean I should still buy it or would it be better to just go with another card? Also, would I get £30 off or something how would that work?

Incase you got one from Amazon, you are entitled to a full refund and apparently they will give you the whole payment back if you refund it. Quite nice if you were saving up for a new card and currently have a 970. With regards to the 20% I think you may be able to get that along with the $30 so that's cool.

I thought nvidia were the best but no a quarter of the ram was slower then what it was meant to be so nvidia owe a lot of money to people for this and i hope they don't do this again

People have been complaining about this for a while. Personally, I haven't seen any issues with the 3.5GB. It works just as I would like it to, and I'm sure it does for many others. It would still be nice to get some cash though. What needs to be done to get this?
