Hello,
If you're having issues updating your Garry's Mod it's most likely due to your antivirus!
Please disable your antivirus before installing the update to avoid issues! This includes Windows Defender! Contact me if you want any more guidance on how to actually disable Windows Defender but it's pretty straight forward.
Don't worry it's only a false positive (Hope anyway) aha....
