How do the website ranks work?

If someone could explain this to me it would be good. I'm a junior Member with 41 posts (at the time of posting this) and i have seen people with only a few more posts than me (2-3) and they have expert member! This doesn't make sense to me so if someone could explain that would be great

Senior is better than expert so you have the right rank
