Input Delay While Driving

I've had this issue for a while, and assumed it's because I play from the US, but other people with similar pings seem to have no problem.

Whenever I'm driving and I press a key to turn, it's like the turn isn't processed for like .5-1s after I press the key. I've learned to drive with this in a way that's functional, but I was curious if there's any root cause anyone's aware of.

I have v-sync off, triple buffering off, a great PC and fast internet, a fancy keyboard (i.e. not hardware input delay), and so I'm not really sure what's causing it.

Is this just because I'm in the US or could this be because of some setting (or lack therof)?

If it helps provide context, I have no lag or delay anywhere else on the server, just driving.

its because of gmod physics, its not a game made for driving, sadly you have to master driving and then it will be "fun" to drive

Unfortunate but I guess that's what I get for playing a prehistoric game

I think it's just much more obvious in faster vehicles, gonna have to start locking my car at 30mph or something
