I don't think bringing a required activity back would solve the problems within the PD. We should realize that at the end of the day it's still a game not a real job. We already have struggle with keeping experienced members in the PD. Implementing an activity requirement would make us lose even more SGTs.
We should go back to a simpler system not online the site but the PD in general. One patrol division with a few specialist jobs, like RTU (fastercars) and TFU (as a swat team).

@ShadowJoey why? What bennefit would this give, less supervisors. Even if they arre barely ever online its sitll better than not having a supervisor. I also don't think that having the threath to be demoted would motivate people in the long term. I personnaly think its bad idea. And I would resingn if was forced to play at atleast 2 hours a week. Even though I easily make those right now. I just refuse to change my real life schedule for an online game. For me it's the other way around. If I have time I play,

@Alliat I am really focusing on the SGTs we don’t see for 3-6 months at a time. It would also open up more SGT space without overloading the rank with numbers.

@Alliat this is something that can’t have a strict policy. Instead needing active people services members who will look into supervisor activity and have the responsibility of preference

@ShadowJoey To be honest I agree with you on every point.
The only thing I would mention is inactive sergeant have been removed/are still being removed
I don't know your plan exactly nor do I really now the full intent of Mcglinchy plans which is upsetting considering I think Captain should be told about changes so they can plan the future of their division. - This is something I have brought up multiple times and was basically ignored.

Right, first of all. I am sorry for any spelling mistakes, I am on the road with bad internet and don't have a very stable place for my laptop.

But, are you joking or something? You are upset that @McGlinchy has not shared his plans with you? THE PLANS THAT ARE GOING TO BE CREATED TODAY DURING SMT MEETING?! Of course, he has a rough outline of what changes he wants to implement but these are changes that have to be talked about in SMT first. You as a Captain will receive information when a plan has been created, and when SMT feels that its time to loop in command. You as the Head of a division should not shape or do major changes to it. This is for the SMT todo, you are merely the commanding officer. So I personally do not see any reason why you should get any first-hand information before a plan has been created within SMT.

This is something I have brought up several times, the future of the PD relies on stability, and therefore any change should be carefully planned by SMT. Big changes on the command level should no longer be a thing, that is what killed the PD in the first place. SMT should have full control of how the PD looks. In my opinion, you should sit and wait for them to talk to you about changes, not sit on the forums, and in a way shit-talking the new CoD. I find that disgusting, if you have issues with the information flow, TAKE IT UP WITH SMT IN PRIVATE.

Thanks :)

hi samuel love you

edit:
I haven't spent much time in a LT+ position so I can't really speak to much of the operations of the PD. However during the time I spent as an LT of IA along with @Racxes (a team still #1) there was a large shift in the way cases were managed and processed. The process was moving away from doing everything on google drive, with a comprehensive folder on every, towards the IA we know today.

Personally I really enjoyed how official and respectable it used to be. Having an official document (or a screenshot of one,) sent to you to fill out was a lot more engaging than a little box you have to fill in on some corner of a website. It honestly made me lose interest in the department. It also made the process seem a lot less in character and a lot more administrative for the end user, it being turned into "just a police F6".

I can't attest to a lot of other changes made as I haven't been involved in the community that fostered them. But I will die on the hill that says that managing google drive with official documents was a lot more interesting that processing most things on a pretty bland looking website.

For anyone not around then this is what an officer's statement looked like:

These forms and documents was the best thing. I would personally be open to something like this again. #BringBackOldIA
