Main Idea: For the upcoming v5 what seems to be in the making, for all buidlings and that what seem like they would need one, add some light switches to be able to turn the light on/off whenever by flicking the light switch.

Full description of the idea: Light switches in all buildings / necessary ones.

Why should it be added?: Realistic aspect of having the ability to turn the lights on and off in your apartment and or house, being able to turn them off when maybe you're trying to hide from people and gives you more time to call the police e.c.t.

Pros: Realistic to have the ability to turn lights on and off when you want.

Cons: Aids during raids but all you need is a flashlight which most people carry anyways.

*Other additions: N/A

there are ways to make yourself literally invisible unless you use the monitorgamma command at the moment on evo, idk if this will be balanceable

additionally most people have flashlights disabled for fps + they give away your location before you even peek so theres still a wide array of balancing issues there

Source lighting in pitch black areas can be pretty amazing to be honest, just takes a fair bit of lighting work

Having light switches in general, especially for each of the properties causes a lot of unexpected errors, mainly due to how the maps are compiled. I'll give a great example I found:

For every switchable light (that is: any light that is named or has a custom appearance) shining on a face, vrad.exe makes a new lightstyle. Basically, it calculates how the face looks like when:
-light 1 is on and light 2 is off
-light 1 is on and light 2 is on
-light 1 is off and light 2 is off
-light 1 is off and light 2 is on
I'm sure you understand how 6 switchable lights make 2 ^ 6 lightstyles, and how this enormous amount of memory has to be saved somehow. and limited.

Due to all these calculations that are being made, it also drastically increases compiling time. This is possible, but defo not worth the work it would take.
