Brief description of idea: Make it so IA investigators get some idea of the outcome of a complaint they've investigated or some sort of feedback not so they can chat about the outcome or whatever but so they have some feedback on their recommendation and can better gauge what the complaint committee decide.

What benefits would this idea have for the department: Allows IA investigators to improve their investigations through experience because at the moment once we've submitted a final report and it's been through CC we never hear about it again unless we ask.

What potential negatives could this have for the department: More people having access to sensitive information however IA investigators get access to the record of the defendant anyway and are bound by the data protection policy so this shouldn't be a problem

This just seems unnecessary. Complaint Committee will let you know if you've done a shit investigation because they will return the final report to you. There's no real need for IA investigators to know the action taken against an officer. Once that final report is sent, it's not our problem anymore.
