MEMORIAL DAY

Hello for those who are unaware today is memorial day in murica. So thanks to any veterans or active duty members that may be in ere! Thank you for your service!

On a sidenote I think Europeans should be obligated to also have memorial day on the same day as us not only for american veterans (Becuse we saved you in 2 world wars) but for their own.

is there a reason it is today? remembrance day is the uk version of this and it's celebrated on the day ww1 ended

Negative its just a general day of "remembrance" for veterans who have died serving and veterans in general.

they could of at least made it a meaningful date

@Jay_ It is meaningful it;s on a monday meanign it gives americans a 3 day weekend.

@Jay_ Up until the 60's it was on a sunday I think. And I think it actually meant something. But 4 holidays got moved to mondays to give more americans 3 day weekends more often.
