I'm thinking of getting a microphone, I don't know whether to get a Blue Snowball or a Blue Yeti.

Those aren't bad mics but I think i'd go with the AT2020, a support for it and a decent mixer.

make sure you get the at2020+ and not the normal one, i have it and it's great.

You’ve probably got it on the wrong setting, there is 3 on the back and you probably got it on the one where is picks up sound all around the mic.

From what I heard there isn't much difference between the snowball and the yeti. If you're just looking for a mic to use then go for the snowball but if your looking for something for professional use e.g. making vids with voice then the yeti/something of that caliber is what you need.
