Welcome to the December 2023 edition of the Monthly Roundup. This newsletter is designed to keep our employees and the public updated with any changes in the city or department. Attached to the newsletter will be a message from the office of the Chiefs of Department, awards, key moments and careers. Any additions to the newsletter please contact Human Resources via helpdesk.
Message from the Chief
“Happy New Year! As we now step into 2024, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for the work you’ve all put in throughout 2023. Myself and John Davids would not be able to have the Department run as well as it does without the support of our command teams. It has been great to see how productive our teams have been throughout the year to further improve the Department as a whole. I am sure this will continue to happen throughout this year as well.
I'm happy to share exciting news about the new PLPD Online. Our Development Services team has been working tirelessly to bring you a new and improved website, and we anticipate its launch within Q1 2024. Your input is invaluable to us, so please feel free to share your suggestions with myself, Sindarin or Fredy. This website represents a significant step towards future-proofing our service, enabling greater modularity, and incorporating new features.
Alongside the new website going live, the Senior Management Team will be working closely alongside Server Development to get new features and items added to the live server. Now is the time to make a suggestion thread on the forums. As always, my door is always open for anyone that wants to speak to me, and the same applies for Deputy Chief of Department John Davids.“
