Welcome to the July 2023 edition of the Monthly Roundup. This newsletter is designed to keep our employees and the public updated with any changes in the city or department. Attached to the newsletter will be a message from the office of the Chiefs of Department, awards, key moments and careers. Any additions to the newsletter please contact Human Resources via helpdesk.
Message from the Chief
There have been some interesting developments within the department this month. Most notably, a new, extended Officer application has been released, aiming to cover the areas that newer officers struggle with. Additionally, Traffic Command has been working hard to release a new unit handbook; I would recommend having a read through, whether you are a current RTO, looking to join the division, or want to review the standard operating procedures.
The RTU #CrossWithCare campaign was also wrapped up this month. Thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations to the winners! Finally, the Q2 2023 Employee Satisfaction Survey has ended, and the results released. We appreciate all the honest feedback given and will be working on improving the PLPD based on this.
