Preface
Welcome to the March 2023 edition of the Monthly Roundup. This newsletter is designed to keep our employees and the public updated with any changes in the city or department. Attached to the newsletter will be a message from the office of the Chiefs of Department, awards, key moments and careers. Any additions to the newsletter please contact Human Resources via helpdesk.
Message from the Chief
Another month brings another set of excellent officers who have been promoted. Congratulations to everyone who has been promoted since February, including the new Junior Traffic Command member Terrence Smith (lencz). Additionally, Internal Affairs command has recently completed their latest hiring campaign, recruiting five new Investigator Assistants which will ensure the quick and smooth investigation of complaints.
Human Resources are continuing with their community nights into April, planning a moving night in the middle of next month. Details are in the separate announcement.
Finally, submissions have opened for the Q1 2023 Employee Satisfaction Survey. This is your opportunity to raise any problems (or complements) you have with the department. In a change from previous surveys, you now have the (optional) ability to give your name when submitting the survey if you wish to be contacted with an update to any issues you raise. The names of any respondents will not be given to anyone outside of Human Resources or the Chiefs and you are still able to choose to remain completely anonymous as per previous surveys.
As always, if you want to bring anything up, positive or negative, feel free to send a message to me or Hayden on PLPD.online, the forums, Steam, Discord, or TeamSpeak.
- Deputy Chief of Department John Davids

Officer of the Month - March 2023
Awarded to: Officer Dave Dawson 8227 (DVN)
"It is always a pleasure to see a new Officer perform so well so early on like Dave has this month. Having met Dave early on in March, I was immediately surprised by how eloquently he behaved whilst on duty and was surprised to learn how new of an Officer he was. In addition to this, Dave has proven himself to be an incredibly dedicated member of the department, having amassed a huge amount of hours in his first month alone. For these reasons, we have decided to award Officer Dawson with the Officer of the Month Award"
