Preface
Earlier this month, some community members discussed a “Welfare division” for the PLPD, the main point which was discussed was how new officers can find being a cop can be overwhelming and confusing. Our aim with this new scheme is to help and guide new people so that they have the best resources going forward into their time with the department.
What is Need a Hand?
This scheme allows employees and members of the community to have a chat with a member of Public Relations via text or voice on their communication platform of choice (within reason) and ask questions or be guided through applications or problems with the PD. Obviously, the issue at hand may not be related to the Police Department whatsoever and may be related to the server or real-life problems and concerns.
