Suggestion Title: Panic button for Taxis (Code Blue)
Suggestion Description: In the dispatcher's handbook, a "code blue" is listed as "Bus/Cab in trouble". This also autofills in the gov chat.
With this in mind, I think taxi vehicles should have a panic button within the car, that can only be triggered when within or standing directly next to the vehicle (to simulate leaning in and pressing it). Once pressed, an emergency incident is made and attached to the taxi vehicle, so it follows the taxi around, similar to a tracked stolen vehicle.
This tracking persists until the taxi driver presses the panic again to switch it off, which does not delete the incident but stops it tracking. If the incident is closed (by dispatch or an officer for example) then the button switches itself off.
Why should this be added?:
- Easier for taxis to contact emergency services if in trouble
- Greater use of the police codes that are coded into the game
What negatives could this have?:
- Misuse, similar to the panic buttons for government employees
- Taxi drivers breaking 3.4 and panicking while under threat of harm
What problem would this suggestion solve?: It takes time to contact 911, especially if nobody is available to take 911 calls. It's almost impossible to write 911 reports while driving, making it tricky to call for help at times.
