Parts of the game with no use

Hello,

I'd like to use this thread to see everyone's opinion on a certain topic: parts of the game or map that are basically useless. From this thread I want to make future suggestions that fix those parts of the game that are there but don't fill any purpose. I think it's a bit sad when portions of the map are almost never used, but it is fixable. Hicktown used to be one of these but now people flood hicktown and even rent trailers to fishermen, thanks to the fish update.

So go ahead and say which things deserve more attention or a bigger purpose.

For example, I think the sea and swimming skill served no real purpose, so I thought of scuba diving. There's many places I think should have a bigger purpose but I want to hear your opinions.

-Bring back farm as a base with a double staircase on each side as opposed to the ladders.
-Give us stable boat props and / or vehicles so we can sail nicely on the water in the sea
-Put something in that weird empty room in the hospital
-Make it so people with keys can open that weird permalocked room in Mcquwes to use as a managers office or secret drug room
-City park is basically a barren wasteland where people go to refill water tanks only, like put something like the V2 office in there or something.
-Why is there a tiny chair shop selling 4 chairs around the corner to a furniture shop selling everything but chairs?
- Add a WH Smiths or something in the monorail stations as opposed to them being a sizable empty building.
Thats all I can think of right now.

The empty concrete area above the beach.

I would love to see one or two of the current NPC city shops, preferably the cofé & fish shop, moved to this area and the old purschasable player owned shops rintroduced inside the city.

EDIT: I made a suggestion for it Bring back city shops

You used to able to drive through the park, it was something out of the movies with those getaways. Now they'res a bunch of barricades

You can still craft them at the market or bring over your guns to sell them of course
-Library could also use some love, maybe use it as progression system where you could learn some skills by reading a book?

The docks do have a purpose they are a spawn point for DD. So it needs to be fairly deserted. However beach is pretty deserted I think there should be something more there.

There is a whole side of the city hall that is unused. It should have a purpose, it's the spawn, spawns are supposed to be used.
Wood Cabins are just a terrible location to base because of wallbang, they don't really have a use.
They should bring back Farm with a farming job or something, that could be fun.
I don't understand how this is not implemented already: Allow people to call anonymously with the phone booths
All the buildings around Office and in front of Hospital are also useless, some of them should be purchasable and have a different layout then Projex, Slums and Regals.
The whole harbour has only one use and that's the drug dealer. Beach is even more useless. Add boats and that problem is solved.
Car Dealer also has a lot of empty areas, why not make it so there is an actual tuning shop you can drive into to spray paint instead of just an NPC?
Maybe they could just redo the Car Dealer to something like

Suburbs Park might be a good spot for some kind of minigame like football/soccer?
It would also be cool if the graveyard showed the names of the 10 latest people that died so you can actually check if your friend has died or not?
There's a lot more stuff I could come up with but I don't have the time.

Mainly I would want the map to be better, because right now, no offence, it looks kinda lame because there isn't very much attention to detail and variety. Suburbs houses, Projex and Slums are copies of each other. There's a lot of just plain empty spaces in the Hospital, Monorail stations, City Hall...

these empty spaces are useful for events or large scale gatherings, so even if they're used only a few times they're nice to have when they're needed

but i still would like a roundabout

That only covers a few parts of the game. afaik only very few of these are actually used in events and I'd rather have content on them on all the days where there's no events than not having content on them for the rare occasional event that may take place there.

why have a map app for new players on a phone when they litterally don't know where to get them
why have a fire government when theres litterally no fires and when there is it's extinguished easily without the need of firemen

That's a very good remark. I personally think the only monorail station with very good location is the one in business. The system could be hybrid, with the city monorail actually going underground, you would pick it up at underpass, then going above ground when heading to subs/business.

I've been thinking for a while that new players need to get some basic things to be able to survive better in perp, like a bit more spawn money a basic phone or map item which will show them the way more.

Things that I believe are not in use and should be:
- The underpass as @Crimson Nugget pointed out. But I believe there should be an underground train system for the city specifically, one connecting with the monorail station / city garage, city hall, underneath McUwes, Beach, Office and that's it. Just a quick route.
- Car garage is underused and doesn't feel like a car garage at all. If only the shops were closer or behind it, formed into a mall, people would maybe use the garage more often, not only the first level
- The area above beach could get some nice villas or something
- Hungries is barely in use due to it's bad location and not looking like a casino at all.
- City park: Get some stands for people to sell stuff there, open it up a bit more, make it officially a public area
- McUwes: Shit location, fast food business isn't a thing since everyone just drives to the Fredy's bakery and gets it there.. (Maybe introduce bread and bakery goods and put the current fast food to McUwes and script a working drive through.
- Crane: This masterpiece should be able to be used for RP or a specific job to access it, maybe even add a boat to drive in some containers which you have to extract. I was always interested in seeing it being able to be used for RP reasons.

I have actually suggested this before but some good remarks were made on it. Where would it go underground? Where would it go above ground? If this were to be implemented which I think is a great idea the whole monorail system should go underground and become a loop so multiple cars can go around right?

[I don't know if this has been said or not and I do not have the time nor the effort to read through all the previous posts because it is 4:22 AM upon me writing this]

The Market, It has been suggested many times and it is in the heart of the city and one of the main parts of the map. It is just to the right of CH and is hard to miss to new players. What I am suggesting is that you add an NPC next to the Market that lets you rent the stall the same way you rent a property through the bank. Then the sign place somewhere on the staff will display the same info as a Bazzar shop. Then they can place any suitable props/items at that stall, same as a Bazzar shop. What this would mean that when the sweatervests join with their 25k and they spot that you are selling some essentials such as Phones, Food and Drink, Flashlights etc. This will save them time instead of running to the gas stations and stores and buying it themselves and at a much cheaper price (I hope). Not only is this good for people want to sell stuff but this is good for people wanting to quickly buy something upon spawning in or coming off duty as Mayor, SS, Firefighter or Police without the hassle of running to the garage and grabbing a car and driving or just straight up walking to the shops as previously mentioned.

tl:dr Make the Market stalls purchasable through an NPC next to the Stalls and workings like any other property and becomes unowned upon disconnecting. This is good for Sweatervests and others to save them from running/driving to shops when nearby e.g spawning in or coming off a job.

If this gets good feedback suggesting that people agree with this idea and actually want it I might make an actual suggestion.

Thing is, if people are able to sell at the market, business area will actually go out of business I think... I'd straight up replace the market with something else instead
