Perpheads is very laggy

Hello recently i came back to perp after like 1 month break and i noticed that its very laggy. I literally cant walk 10 meters without getting lag spikes. Everything is ok on other games like gta,rdr 2 and other games that take even more memory than gmod.

And also on another servers everything is fine but on perp its really really laggy. Any help i can get?

I have this issue pretty bad but it usually resolves itself after i've roamed around the map for a few minutes.

the map loads in chunks so it can lag a little when driving into one off these chunks. After i got new pc it dosen't do it anymore

I dont personally use it but i've been told this cfg is good:

-high -nod3d9ex -nojoy -nohltv -preload -nosteamcontroller -processheap -novid -useforcedmparms -malloc=system -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -windowed -noborder -w 2560 -h 1440 -particles 512 -softparticlesdefaultoff +exec autoexec.cfg



These are the settings I use.

And console commands:

Useful console commands
r_3dsky "0"
r_drawdetailprops 0
r_drawbatchdecals "0"
r_shadows 0 (you won't be able to see flashlights if you set this to 0 keep this in mind)

Bear in mind this is regarding your monitors resolution, so if your not using a 1440P monitor to play, put this down to 1920x1080( Or whatever resolution you are currently using to play)

does this work in borderless windowed mode somehow or is it just the normal res settings

That is for windowed borderless as far as I am aware.

Add -windowed -borderless to the launch arguments

do you get lag spikes every 5 seconds exactly?
