Some GMOD files magically gone?

Hey, I've been away from my pc for a week, it's passworded and no one touched it, however when i came back i realized that my gmod (and gta iv) were shown as uninstalled in steam. GTA IV folder seems fine, however in the garrysmod folder i've spotted that the .exe of gmod is missing. When i tried to verify the cache via steam, it just jumped to 100% in less than a second and said that everything is fine, however it's not. Right now my steam tries to download gmod again even though it exists, and i dont know whether or not it would hurt my existing installation. I tried the blob fixes and everything i could find, however nothing worked.

Reinstall both games, should fix it.

Try doing the following;

• Verify Game Cache - This will check for missing files, and make sure everything is in place
• Restart Steam - Fixes 40% Of problems
• Reinstall the game(s) - Will fix "all" files.
