Suggestion Title: Perpheads US based Server
Suggestion Description: There is a lot of users who love to play Perpheads, but the major issue is the Server is located in the UK. I know it started off in the UK but a lot of people (Especially myself) lag out when the server has roughly about 64 or more users, and my ping ends up through the roof. I think there should be a US based Perpheads server where users can play on US Perpheads if they are in the states, thus having a lower Ping.

Why should this be added?:
- US users can have normal ping and have their own local server (which happens at a different timezone all together).
- Bridge more from the US/Canadian side into an awesome community.
- Tap into a market for donations and help from other users for development of the community.

What negatives could this have?:
- Cost probably would be very high, but I don't mind donating enough to start the server!
- Probably would need a different set of mods/admins/PLPD staff.
- Different time zones might be a little bit difficult to manage,

The player cap is the biggest issue with the lag than US ping. I live in the east coast and its fine. I can drive like hell as FF in the rover and do fine, other than the freezes ive been getting randomly but i think thats an alternate issue.

I personally also am in the US and have had no issues related to ping, I am pretty sure the server also is not hosted in the UK, but don't quote me on that : p

At some point I think you just get used to how it plays being in the US. It's not really that big of an issue for me.

monoliths collapse wasnt really dependant on the region, more or so the community itself.

However if PERP were to have an American server it'd split the players the EU and NA players apart, leaving EU PERP to be dead past 1am BST, and same for 1am whatever American timezones are, I think the ping difference isn't the worst, it has its benefits and also its negatives from what I can tell it'd benefit the staff in no way, hosting costs etc as well as having to split the staff team, needing NA staff on the EU server late, as well as NA even with the lack of current NA staff.

tl;dr less players more expensive hosting for no benefit

I can't see this being good for anyone really. Sure, we'll get a few more U.S. players, but it'll either split the community, or lead to server hopping, dependent on whether the servers are persistent or have separate databases. Also, U.S. ping really isn't that bad.

Having separate databases means it'll be two totally different communities in practice, with players likely having a main server they play on, and simply not going on the other unless their server is full. NA server would have to basically build up it's own community from scratch, save a few who decide to start again there.

Having the servers sync player data will lead to people server hopping, with people not wanting to grow or play a certain job due to mayor, amount of cops, etc. so they'll go onto the other server to grow during that server's off-peak hours, etc. Fearless had two or three servers iirc, and one was always full whilst the other was near empty, with just a few of their equivalent of our forest growers, and no real RP to speak of. I can already see one server being a tax haven where everyone goes to craft and grow, and the other being ran by a dictatorial big-government socialist, who nobody bothers killing, cause they can just go on the other server instead.

Not a good idea, let's not. Also, Fredy said no, so no.

The majority of the playerbase are EU based, splitting them between 2 servers wouldn‘t be ideal and would not only divide the community but ruin our progress as being in the top 10 gmod servers on gametracker.

All these US boys lying for sure, I am from Newfoundland, the most eastern point of all of North America, that makes me closer to the server then basically any of these US fellas. For them to say there is no issue with ping is a huge under exaggeration. Since the server slots have been increased, I literally am not able to play. Unless I plan on doing NO PVP, the server is basically unplayable for me, I can't grow cause I can't defend with 250 ping, and same goes for raiding.

Not that I agree that splitting the servers into two separate ones is a good idea, but the "Americans" saying this is no big deal must not PVP.
It does truly suck because Perp always held a very special place in my heart, but I generally can't put my time in something that I won't even be able to properly play anymore.

I'm a cop main so I PVP almost every 5 seconds and have uploaded numerous videos of Perp as of late. I personally don't have issues with ping

As much as i kinda disagree maybe having two servers for pero isnt too bad, considering the players now are causing quite a bit of lag, i think atleast.

And i see peoples point in saying it will remove us from top 10 and split the playerbase. But seeing as people call it unplayable isnt that already splitting it?

I also think if it goes on with lag for those whom experiences it they might also stop playing.

I don’t know what to tell you, but it’s true. The ONLY time any of us complain is when there is 128 Players maxed out, sensibly so. Internet skill issue id say

What's your argument for 95% of these clips? Saying you don't have issues with ping, then uploading clips of you dying (most times be the looks of it because of ping). Doesn't exactly make sense to me? What is your average ping when you are connected with max players? Or even 100?

I don't think you can say ping is not a issue. I feel its probably more along the lines of, you cop main so you don't lose anything when you die, therefore you don't really get frustrated when losing the fight via ping.

My argument is that I'm completely ass when it comes to FPS. You should see me when im playing siege. I am absolutely dogshit at first person shooters. I've lost shit as crim its part of the game of me being terrible.
@aeo At my job atm will watch on my lunch break
