Is this a new law or a change to a current law: new policy

What law do you wish to change/add: TFU officers should not take command of any active situation if there are other officers on scene capable of doing so.

Why should this change/addition be made: Two main reasons, the first is that the TFU are the most likely to die upon breaching a property, which may leave situations in disarray as officers are left uninstructed.

The second is that tfu officers are unable to maintain a comprehensive overview of any situation, they cannot ensure a perimeter is maintained nor can they effectively manage any difficulties that may arise.

What is the aim of this change/addition: idk it makes sense and I think it would lead to more organization within the PD?

Additional Information: im gay

You want them to be blocked from doing so regardless of rank?

If there is another officer avaliable who can assume command, (possibly cpl+, but i leave that to the discretion of policy makers,) then they do, regardless of the TFU officers rank.

The main theory is that incident command is mutually exclusive with pretty much any other task, and a lower ranked officer who is wholly focused on it is preferable to a high ranked officer who has to juggle that and the tactics of breaching a room or dealing with armed suspects.
