I have an ideas for a project but part of it is beyond what's been done before. It requires the ability to replay shootouts or at least record them while ongoing from a ghost perspective with as minimal UI as possible obviously. Do I need to be staff first or can I do this now somehow? (Maybe with supervision from Admin+)

Without anything special, you could record shootouts you are near or involved in within demos by using the drive feature, and the console command “r_drawviewmodel 0” to hide your own weapon viewmodel. The limitations are that you won’t be able to see your own character in action

That's actually very helpful.

However, what about getting the POV of those involved? I thought about doing /LOOC to let them know "Hey if you want to clip your POVs and have them involved in a project. clip them now."

That’s the best bet yeah, or reach out on steam or discord to players you commonly find yourself in scenarios with, to ask for relevant clips or for their demos to clip it yourself
