[SOLVED] help! [SOLVED]i cannot run ANY source game!

So i closed garrysmod the otherday, and the next morning i wanted to run it.
It didn't open.

What happened:
1. I run trough steam(i also tried pressing hl2.exe itself)
2. it "opens" goes black 1ms, makes my resolution fucked for a bit. goes black for a split second and i see garrysmod closing itself in the windows gui thing(i don't know its name)

this is with any source game.


what i've done

1. Validated game cache
2. resinstalled gmod
3. mannualy removed gmod
4.manually removed entire steam AND all my games.
5. Fress install of garrysmod and garrysmod only
6. garrysmod development branch.


anybody know what to do?

Parameters used:
-All Directx numbers
-console
-that other log commang
-another log command
-windowed

Virus scan. I got hit with one that took out steam and my task manager. Also check your virus chest

Go into your workshop and delete all of your garrys mod addons.

Steam Support (Never helped me really)

Hardware check - Including Hard Drive space and CPU usage

Pray to gaben as a last resort.

Im doing a scan with avast right now , and ill do mbam tomorrow.

No addons in the game, it doesnt even get to downloading that

Ive ran chkdsk too,




Ill wait till the scan is done.

Im 100 % sure its not a faulty addon, other pc works just fine and games like portal have the same issue
