Alright, so I have 60 FPS all the time. HOWEVER, my game stutters from time to time and it's extremely annoying, did anyone else have this problem? What did you do to solve it? Tips?

Specs.

Intel Core I7-4790k @ 4.00ghz
8GB Vengeance Ram memory
Asus GeForce Gtx 970 strix.
PSU: 600W.

Mine does the same and my specs are

Processor - Intel® Core™ i7-4770 Processor
- Quad-core
- 3.4 GHz / 3.9 GHz with Turbo Boost
- 8 MB cache
Memory (RAM) 16 GB (32 GB maximum installable RAM)
Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 (4 GB)
Storage 3 TB HDD, 7200 rpm
Motherboard x4500

Its not the computer at fault I get on average 12-8 fps and mine stutters at first but sooner or later when im fully rendered I barely get it. Driving around the map when you have only just joined tends to do this including when you enter the business area and the worst is business gas station. Also while it barely has any effect on the server one car is spawned basicly every few minutes which may cause barely any stuttering.

If it continues stuttering after giving it time to sort out make sure your garrys mod settings are optimised well for your hardware.

I have

Intel core i5 - 4460 3.2 GHZ

8 gb kingston fury ram + extra 6 GB Ram

Gigabyte nvidia gtx 970 4G OC

asrock z97 anniversary

2TB HHD

60FPS
And I don't get any lag

How frequent are the stutters? If they're relatively infrequent they're usually caused by a Demo that has just started recording or that you've entered a region of the map for the first time since connecting to the server. The only thing I can suggest to avoid these stutters is to type 'stop' in console; this will stop the demo from recording (this obviously has repercussions).

Good luck

I get this frequently and it sometimes stutters for long periods of time followed by getting connection problem and quitting the server leading me to get a ban and loss of many many items.

Welcome to gmod, 99% chance its a demo stopping and starting. The fact your computer is 'good' doesn't make a scrap of difference because your GPU is sitting at 10% usage doing fuck all.

Garry's Mod isn't well optimized anyway; it's on the old Source engine and doesn't really support higher end GPUs or CPUs as well as it should do; it doesn't really recognize the extra performance. You'll just have to try your best to optimize it or deal with it I'm afraid.
