Steam overlay not working

No matter what game it is it won't work, tried enable it and disable it both in game properties and in settings and also tried changing buttons, took a look on the programs running on my pc and nothing is messing with it, etc fraps, amd, nothing.

If you know how to fix this i would really love to know.

I have also tried removing everything in the steam folder except steam.exe, and the game folder.

Never had this problem, but I suggest you completely uninstall it.

Open a game, goto taskmanager. Kill steamoverlay then kill the game then kill steam. Then reboot your pc
