In case, you weren't able to see my shoutbox message or discord posts I'll repost it here.

One of my mates from school died yesterday. He commited suicide after watching a football match. I'm absolutely gutted and can't stress enough the importance of speaking about feelings, emotions and situations like this. There's hotlines open 24/7, your GP and lots of charities that specialise in these problems. Problems that everyone will face but everyone deals with them differently. If any of you have any problems feel free to message me, poke me on ts, I'll make the time for any of you, I promise. We owe it to those we've lost and their grieving families to look for support. Suicide doesn't stop the pain, it passes it on to someone else.

I'll be honest, I'd been contemplating it for a while after my father's death. The pain, anger, and grief of losing him overwhelmed me completely, and I spent days blaming myself for everything.

I'm happy to say that frequent sessions with my psychologist helped quite quickly, but in the first few weeks, I wanted myself gone.

Please, if you've ever had thoughts like these, talk to somebody. Anybody.

The difference counselling makes is massive. Glad to hear it's helped. It's helped me a lot too, I've experienced the difference it makes.

A change in social group, like joining a club, is also a good preventative measure for your mental health declining

This is the first time I mention this on this forum. Some of you already know this but here we go.

From age 14 to the present time I've had depression. I got bullied a lot by only one guy at age 14-16. This never stopped haunting me and it still does today. When I graduated middle school and went to College it seemed to slowly become better again until I for some reason started feeling sad again. This was Late 2018 and Early 2019. These were the worst weeks of this depression, I would literally walk 10 kilometers just thinking about all the ways I could put an end to my life. I would go to the same lake every single day, sit on a brick wall and just look out into the horizon thinking about suicide. I quit College because of all this and this caused my parents to be on my ass 24/7 which made things even worse, they were not aware of my feelings at this time. We were going to a thing where they help you find a new school and they kept asking me in the car why I did this and why I want to quit. After me ignoring them for about an hour of the drive I finally said that I think I have depression and I have suicidal thoughts. They instantly pulled into a gas station and we sat down on the curb talking about it, this is when I finally felt like someone was there to help me. Just because I talked.

Now, when you would meet me in person you would think I definitely do not have depression. I smile, I interact with people, I talk a lot, I just look happy in general. This just proves that if someone looks happy, he could be the exact opposite. If you think something is wrong with anyone you know or love, TALK to them. It can really help for some people. Just confront them and instantly get on topic. You could really help save someones life.

I've been to 3 therapists and saw many doctors to find something that would help me. I've tried antidepressants and all sort of other shit but nothing helped, I turned into a zombie without emotion on that shit. The best way to get help is just talking with your family, friends, anyone. Just bring it up and talk about it because you are NOT ALONE and you are LOVED.

If you feel down, suicidal, you have depression or anything similar you can also feel free to send me a DM, I've been there myself and I can talk to you about it. Again, you ARE NOT ALONE and YOU ARE LOVED.
