This isn't going to be a super ranty, long winded thread but I am growing ever tired of the state of the server within recent months, and I feel like v6 has made the problem worse.

The amount of roleplay is decreasing, and less people are interacting.
Its just become raids, after raids, after raids. and this problem is even happening at lower pop (when i usually play) like for example today, there was about 45~ players on at 4am, and the only thing happening was raids
I also feel the community is growing ever more toxic, this shouldn't be a platform where people come to argue, or complain. It should be a place where people come to talk to each other, and make friends.

I wont be talking about the state of the PD in this thread, as thats already been discussed heavily in recent topics.
Maybe its me that's the problem though, but I'm hearing more and more people complain about these same things.
There is no one group that's the problem (whilst there are some groups that are worse than others) its just the way the community is heading, and I'm getting sick of it, this isn't supposed to be me saying that people that raid are losers, because I can understand why people raid, but there are other things to do in this server than complain and raid.

I don't really have a way to end this, so ill see you lot around. (feel free to complain in the replies)

Nah it was pretty fun trying to avoid you guys after i trapped you in my trailer, idk how you kept finding me
just have fun with the little things and its not bad

nothing has been different from over the years, i really don’t see what point you’re trying to make about it getting worse though whatever you’ve raised is put very broadly

v6 could’ve done with new jobs and core server stuff to maybe endorse ‘roleplay’ but that’s really it
Yeah, that is why I mentioned that it might just be me, it could just be burnout.

I understand your point and it's hard to get people to rp like in good rp that others would like to have there will always be someone who wants their own and I also grew up it wasn't so cool when I was in the middle of a hostage situation I understand that very well the only thing that was wrong with it is that I was under pressure the hostage didn't follow orders and there were a lot of cops so I didn't know if I would be a gp after but I don't know if it was you in ig but you were the only one who actually listened and talked and negotiated in kind from the others. and respect you making this post even though you're helping because it's a problem if you want to roleplay and there should be room for that and be able to raid so respect and that being more toxic I could probably see that a little bit it has changed compared to me before I was banned 1 year ago. i hope you can read this but i get your message (:

I fully understand where you're coming from, but the player experiences vary so heavily on this server that its hard to determine. Best choice of action imo is taking a break, because even if its in the same condition you'll have a better mentality overall.

and I feel v6
yhh so imo v6 has sort of made passive rp (what ever ur definition of that may be, for me it's mostly not being in combat 24/7) less naturally occurring. Take v5 hicktown, covered by a dense forest you felt a sense of being detached from the active raids of projex or the mass rdm of the bazar, and you normally grew drugs and fished. You'd talk to the fellas in the other trailers and either have a distrust of each other or chill out, help each other when being mugged etc. Compared to v6 hicktown where ur out in the open and can be scouted for a raid/mug from the ever growing competitive natured orgs, hicktown is now a ghost town.
Whether that's an issue w the map (the forest density, location) or an issue w the leaderboard as previously mentioned in other threads idk, but passive rp feels more and more restricted by both issues.

Hicktown was so fun, it genuinely felt like you where outside the city in a forest away from everything in a place where you can get fucking merked at any corner. Now it just kinda feels like an afterthought

Also something ive noticed that makes it even harder to RP. Rules are enforced way too strict.
For example i love hostage situations, but you cant just initiate them out of nowhere and + there are veryyy slight and slim changes youll ever get a hostage unless its a PD raid/you find someone afk in a base.

What i would recommend (but this is just me) either change the rules or allow staff members to give permision to initiate such scenarios for the soul reason of RP.
Allow users to take hostages, allow users to initiate pursuits.

Ive personally been trying to make this as possible as i can, whenever i get an oportunity to, i attempt to make even the slightest RP scenario.

One very important thing to note: Perpheads is not the place for RP anymore.

Ive noticed this (as @AcidFerret mentioned) grow even more evident with the course of time. The main problem is that perp is just to fast paced for an RP interactions to not feel rushed and hurried as much as possible.

Also ive noticed a whole shit ton more bankraids. This is because its just too easy to do them. You have to just hide on the stairs and hold them. On V5 you actually had to go outside, flank cops, watch other possible attack points, check a roof aswell etc etc. Now its just purely too easy and it makes players want to do them more and more, leading to more shootouts and to even less RP.

Overall, I personally appreciate the effort of the players that try to make RP happen more frequently and also i appreciate @peeps, alongisde the other devs that worked on the development of v6, to make it more annoying to raid due to constant shitty angles you have to peak.

One thing that does give me hope for the community is I've noticed a few people like will docker have been doing some really good stuff in terms of role-playing recently. Building cool huts and having roleplay bases
Big ups Will Docker, Greggory Skittle, Wong Wuu and everyone else in that crew. Genuinely some of my favorite people to be around on the server.

When you play the server for a couple years it probably doesn’t feel the same as most people you’re used to playing with quit or get banned as well as the server changing whether it’s to your liking or disliking

I feel optimistic about it. As far as gameplay, really the biggest thing v6 brought was fresh places to raid and base. The properties in v5 were getting stale to the point that other things were just more fun. There’s a lot of players coming back for this alone, in addition to the new players who are looking for that kind of gameplay.

I’m thinking as time goes on and players get more familiar with the new properties, and with more changes coming in 6.1, the city will start to feel balanced. Encourage and support the RP providers mentioned, like Eistee’s racing series, and look for opportunities for other events

Bring back v5

ive been saying it all the time roleplayers get banned while zergs and ppl who raid 24/7 r safeguarded cuz staff is part of their groups

u cant do drunk rp cuz u get banned
u cant do any creative roleplay because they want to be very strict only against roleplayers and not against zergers and 24/7 raiders
