V5 development thread

Description of the idea:
Make a V5 development thread in order to show off Paralake V5’s up and coming features.

Why should this be added? (pros):
- Feedback on the map can be given by our community
- Clears up misinformation being spread about V5.
- Builds hype.
- Gives us a clear sign that we know what’s up and coming.

What negatives could this have? (cons):
- Ruins the surprise (not that this is really a bad thing)
- people trying to be backseat mappers i guess?​

Honestly unless Perp hires a professional mapper, don't get too excited

They won't do this because then we will actually see how little has changed and how often they are actually making changes. Also like you said, you'll have backseat mappers going "TERRIBLE IDEA" "WHY DO THAT" "THATS DUMB" etc

I'm pretty sure at the very least Ayjay and Fredy are both working on it but I have no idea how much they have done, hoe often they are working on it or if there is anyone else working with them on it.

Fredy clearly stated in the community meeting he didn't want to give anything away in regards to v5. He wants to keep expectations low, then pass those expectations on release rather than show what to expect, then under-deliver because something was cut from the final version of the map.
This idea will never happen.

I don't think a thread for this is necessary. I just think we need teases in shoutbox a bit more, the developers have recently started doing this like they did with both V3 and V4.

Well there was more than just the map being worked on. And apparently a few new money sinks to keep people interested in spending their money.

I strongly believe that v5 should mainly be based off community feedback, it is really useful to see what’s been done so far and for the community to raise any concern towards the map before it’s initial release else we would then have to a dreadfully wait for another version to wait for what issues v5 could potentially have if the devs don’t see it themselves.

Keep the huge surprises under the radar sure like the casino (it was leaked in shoutbox anyways) but balance changes is the biggest concern of them all, it would really help the developers out more than for them having to go over it again once it is released.
