Suggestion Title: XP and reward sharing for Firefighter's
Suggestion Description: This is a repost of my 3 year old thread. I've asked Maia and it seems to be okay for me to repost this. Be aware that I've simplified this and made it a tad shorter so it's easier to understand (I hope) https://perpheads.com/threads/xp-adjustment-for-firefighters-and-possibly-medics.49727/
Earning XP as a Firefighter is slow and at times more inconsistent than being a Medic due to the randomness of naturally occurring fires. A Junior Paramedic reviving people and removing a few bodies in minutes grants you more XP than extinguishing a medium sized fire as a Junior Firefighter. Medics share money and XP when a nearby (?) Medic revives someone or disposes of a body but Firefighters do not share rewards and XP for extinguishing the same fire or other job related tasks. Medics can respond to individual life alerts across the city while Firefighters usually respond to a single incident so progress depends on random fire spawns and there are rarely player made fires. Not every extinguished fire pays money or XP, CPR and treating wounds grant very little XP, making Firefighter feel a lot more grindy even with Influence 5.
You get a base reward of $75 when extinguishing a fire, this is sometimes scaled up to $90 or even $110. I'd say getting a share of $50 should be fair along with the same amount of XP as you'd normally get when your colleague extinguishes a fire. And maybe tone down the randomness a bit because you sometimes extinguish like 5 fires which then can grant you like no reward what so ever.
CPR should reward you with more XP too to encourage the role of a first responder to assist medics in reviving people. This is the most unrewarding aspect of this job but at least you can get $500 for stealing the revive of a Medic for a veeeery small chance lol
Why should this be added?:
-Less competition between Firefighters on who gets to put out the fire the fastest and earliest.
-Allows Firefighters to also take on the role of a dedicated first responder if it is rewarded better.
-Medics get these benefits, then why not Firefighters? Even Couriers gets this benefit.
What negatives could this have?:
-Progression is too easy.
-We get way more higher ranking people on duty (is this even a bad thing?)
What problem would this suggestion solve?: Less competition when there is more than one Firefighter on duty, would make sense considering Medics and other jobs already get the same benefits when your colleagues do their job.
