Rule of the Month Introduction

This is something @Ellie came up with and I have wanted to do it for a while but we decided against it ages ago but I cannot remember why. Anyway, this is a scheme that will feature alongside/within the Community Spotlight each month, we will vote on a rule that we want to discuss as a community to clear up any confusion and then staff will proactively enforce the rule. There will also be the opportunity for staff to give regular examples of the rule violations in Slack so that we can guide the community on what they should avoid doing.

The goals of this are as follows:
  • Enforce rules that have maybe not been enforced properly/consistently for a while.​
  • Clear up any confusion between staff and players on certain rules, it should also remove some of the divides when it comes to the two communities.​
  • Discuss whether the rule should be changed to...​

Hi there guys, there's been a number of small updates/bug fixes over the past couple of weeks we haven't really covered, so I thought I'd give you a small post on what's been done.
  • Added some base defence props to new player starting pack
  • Beer makes you less thirsty
  • Senior firefighters get barricades
  • AFK fix for dispatch
  • Lowered property ownership counts
    • You can now own 3 properties individually (rather than 4)
    • You can now own 5 properties between an org (rather than 8)
    • You can now own 3 stores between an org (rather than 4)

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the August 2022 Community Spotlight, this month we have seen a significant increase in new players and a brand new update allowing players to create custom signs. This has seen a huge increase in roleplay builds, so this spotlight will be a hefty one. As per usual, nominations were taken from Player Showcase on Discord so if you would like a chance to be featured then consider putting your build or others in Discord.​

There's a new magazine in Paralake, created by our very own @BigRossKane. Rogue Magazine offers some great content highlighting the hidden gems and goings-on throughout the server. There may be more of these in the future, so get this issue at Jennifers while you can!
