Any pro tips or suggestions?

I heard obsidian skates are good. Or some other things, I don’t know nothing about skates or if I should use the grip tape it comes with. I’m still even deciding on whether I use the skate puck or the normal one.

i also want to get a superlight soon, how do you feel about the scroll wheel? is it too easy to scroll down cause i use scroll to jump, also how light are the clicks?

after 1 day of using it, I compare it to my last mouse, Razer Ballistik V3.

While the GPX 2 doesn’t have the free scroll feature that the razer mouse does on the wheel, it is more comfortable to use overall.

Also there is a software feature to mitigate accidental scrolls called BHOP.

The side buttons feel so much easier to use.

The mouse is mod-able as it comes with grip tape for all sides, skates can be changed, and it comes with a gliding puck on the bottom to increase friction which can be exchanged easily for a normal one. (A circle of white skate vs a circle of non-skate material on the bottom)

I was right to consider leaving ergonomic mice in general. The mouse feels more comfortable with its lighter weight, does not mold my hand into any pre-set ergo shape, the clicks feel nice, and the wireless connectivity is great.

Best of all, I can uninstall Razer Synapse.

The stock pads are great imo for control I would personally never switch them especially with the qck pad which is a slow controlled pad if you want more speed you can try corepads

It's all personal preference, I lowkey regret trying aftermarket skates/mousepads but I gave it a try I've used qck for like a decade and imo I think my aim was the best and most consistent on that pad

You have other things to regret trying

I know this is derailing the post but an off topic question I had was about glass mouse pads. I saw a pretty talented player recommend Matrova pads, and I looked up reviews then learned that there are Superglide skates.

I’m personally unaware of what these options have in terms of pros and cons, and finding a proper review without it involving some marketing garbage has felt difficult.

Any thoughts?

Personally glass is a bit too much, I use a hard logitech mousepad and I'm never going back, was fed up with fabric being inconsistent and feeling draggy, takes getting used too because a hard mouse pad wont 'slow' you down but consistency made the difference

I want to learn more about this. I think I have a Qck balanced fabric pad from Steelseries. But after seeing such a cheap option he recommended by a player who was absolutely shredding in games, I’m wondering if it may be a good pick up?

Looks decent but fabric will always degrade over time and you'll lose consistency

A hard mousepad will give you the same features and won't degrade, I think my Logitech one was like £20 so you don't lose much if you don't like it, when I originally swapped I was still playing valorant at immortal, it took a while but I felt much happier with the consistency in movements and didn't feel like my mousepad was letting me down anymore

Yeah for sure.

I definitely am leaning towards picking up something solid, maybe the Matrova is a good and affordable glass pad to at least get my foot in the door. Plus if I don’t like it, I didn’t break the bank and I’ll know for sure that glass is probably just not for me.

I have the exact same mousepad/a superlight and it's consistent and easy to clean and only took me less than a day to get used to
