Thoughts on Perpheads right now

When i first joined the server in September 2025, I always thought the idea of roleplaying was weird, often made fun of people on FiveM, used to go on random darkrp servers and just mess and get banned for massrdming and what not, not gonna lie i was gonna do the same on Perpheads but when i first loaded in, everything changed, i was impressed with the map, the guns and just how good it looked for a server on a 20 year old game, I had a look round there’s just loads of life everywhere, and i decided to stick around because the server was actually good and didn’t feel like another janky ass workshop loaded shitty server.

But in the last couple of weeks, I’ve just been seeing people who i used to love on the server, just stop playing temporarily. I’ve seen close friends get perma banned, quit and what not, you don’t see as much life in Bazaar or the city as you used to, no funny weird rp events like the court case with jordan irelands weird strange sauce, you don’t see a lot of people basing either in the suburbs a lot, The games just kinda feeling lifeless right now, might not be the case for others, What do you guys think of Perpheads rn ?

I feel the same way at Max pop you would think that it would be alot of bases but when you check half of them Are owned and empty or just for sale.

Same with bazaar you think its going to be a jungle there but its like 10 players combined. I figured out that half the server is at farm or pd. The rest of the players can be found afk at spawn or at storage.

Imma split my thought into 3 parts Crim, PD, State of RP (Yes im banned but i still see alot of perp stuff)

Criminal:
Not much to do other then raid / base.
Not much interations with anyone
Drugs are boring to do
Raids are a swampfest of what boils down to who's got the biggest dick (Who can shoot best)

Police:
Rotten to its core, Its so biased its almost funny
The policies come outta nowhere / Not easy to know - Like why so many?
IA being weaponised because someone can't stop crying over a 5k ticket when they punched someone for no reason (This has been delt with mostly thanks to acer and command I think)
Not much chance for non-staff to get into higher rolls (If we are talking staff or ex-staff - There is only - Cosmic / Murlon / Tyler Ye (I think) and skippy that have not been staff before)

RP:
Im sorry theres RP on this RP server?
You try and RP ANYTHING, make one mistake and the F6 key is instently pressed
You have people try and get a reaction to get people banned which leads to the F6 key being pressed more and more
Staff are the only real ones that can RP anything out or older players (2024 and below imo)

Like im not trying to make this super negative and I dont have all the answers, Theres alot of people that I like on the server that I do like talking too, Sorle, Cosmic (Even tho hes a bellend ;) ) Gamingpeach, Scoot (That one don't count tho as i know scoot IRL)Satella, Collier, Ricky, Mak, Betts, Dom, Daan, Boj, Sean, Maya, Cappe i can go on and on and i defo missed ALOT people, but my point is theres some great people on the server.

But perp to me at the moment even tho im banned, feels like the majorty of people are sitting AFK mentally, being checked out on perp, I would like new things on the server, for example something new to do, New guns, New tasks, New drugs to do ect ect thats my thought process tho

I didn't play perp much before receiving my ban (I played 8 months). I have played a lot of roleplay growing up but the roleplay has to be planned and thought out on the server so it doesn't really happen, PLPD is biased and from my experience, people who are known in the community wont get much punishment for breaking PLPD policy, also trying to climb the ranks is difficult since no one is willing to give ors to just anyone and I know some peope high in PD who will only give ors if they get paid which should not be how it runs. Crim on the server is the most popular thing and honestly wasn't something I was interested in but still participated because what else do you do, its boring and if you aren't a experienced player its just a crap fest of being raided for easy drugs and guns. Bazaar is dead from what I have seen now, a lot of people blamed the Vault Corp market for it but since it has been down bazaar is still very much dead asf.

More and new content need to be added not just a new map for people to explore.

Alot of people
want to play a hardcore fps mmo but the best option for that is perp so they play here. Instead of the target market being roleplayers who sometimes want to pvp. Meaning rp is diluted to sweaters punching eachother on market street.

My evidence would be storage see how many people park get there gun /crowbar and immediately leave or don't talk to anyone there and just stay on ts. This is a player base issue.

As her husband I can +rep this, very true.

Everyone complains there's no life, no interractions, no RP. But they themselves don't even try to contribute to it.

@D3LLY your last warning and ban are a great reflection of that behaviour.

PD who will only give ors if they get paid which should not be how it runs
I believe we've received 0 IAs related to that and if there is such instances, where PD officers are taking payments for ORs (beyond it being a joke), we will take immediate action.

Bazaar is dead from what I have seen now, a lot of people blamed the Vault Corp market for it but since it has been down bazaar is still very much dead asf.
Bazaar is not dead. It's not the centre for interractions like it used to be, but it by no means is dead (like it was at the start)

Rotten to its core, Its so biased its almost funny
What exactly?

The policies come outta nowhere / Not easy to know - Like why so many?
Because otherwise there is no line as to what is okay and what isn't. And because we can't say what's right or wrong by vibes. Either it's written for everyone or it's simply not fair - trust me I tried to compress the Handbook as much as possible.

There is a good chance a policy exists that was written as a result of something you did.

Not much chance for non-staff to get into higher rolls
That is because there typically isn't much interest from players who are not staff. There really isn't that many applicants for command roles as one may think. At times the most you get is 5-7. Players who want to progress in the PD are typically dedicated players, which just happens to be that the same group goes to staff members. Being a staff member is a great bonus, if it will aid the role, but by no means is it a requirement or even that much preferencial.

You're also forgetting all the command members who went for staff after they got their roles.

Not enough shit for criminals to do.

Not enough money sinks.

Gets very repetitive and boring quick.

As a semi new player with 40h on pd it's incredibly hard to get OR's so I'd rather just play crim than be a perma pistol cop
Can't disagree with that. If you have ideas on how that could be improved in a realistic and manageable fashion, you can always let us know or just send me a DM anywhere.

its been pretty alright since i got back minus the constant shootouts and the inability of plpd officers to follow my orders and the existence of charlie sorle and also the fact pvpers cant have a fun interaction without causing toxic drama and also the fact that perpheads pvpers are STILL the most oppressed group in society.

Hope that helps a bit.
