Suggestion Title: Farming and More Foods!
Suggestion Description: This could easily be 2 suggestions but I think these go well together. Essentially, the amount of food options are extremely limited. All we can really do foodwise is buy food from the NPCs or fish and place the fish on a stove.

Farming:
When it comes to farming, it is more of a passive way to make money by growing your own crops and then selling your produce or using them to produce other foods.
There are 2 ways that the growing could be implemented:

There is farming, just all the corn seems to have died in the field and now it's just stuck there for some reason

But yea I have a lot of ideas for jobs and some other legal stuff. As I said though, more jobs is a double edged sword as it means less people doing illegal things. Which I think can be a good thing, but it also means there are less "PVP scenarios" which is a huge draw to many both new and old players, and guns are a moderately priced thing which helps keep money flowing at times. Meanwhile a new job is an all new money injected into the system continuously. Paralake has seen massive inflation over the years in terms of player wealth and paydays but the price of a burger is the same as in 2013.

Which is why I proposed making vehicles a bit more to maintain as it increases how much money has to be used at times as well as it can lead to better systems than simply your car being wrecked or not. As stated though, I have always found this to be a highly unpopular opinion of mine. Now I don't want to punish players over mistakes with their vehicle as I know driving is not always the greatest, but I do think there are ways to increase costs without it being a burden. But this is not the place to discuss that whole idea.

So then we get ideas of more decorations or clothes or whatever, which are high priced. Which is cool but realistically you can only decorate or wear so much. Thus making a lot of them pointless, especially if we make something which is way more popular than another.

lowkey i think we should revisit the player-owned economy idea, it would result in drastic changes but it also results in money not being the only thing you have to care about and probably increases costs while giving newer players better access to making good money

Description of the idea:

Specialisation is a system in which you could choose a single additional skill to specialise in which would grant you perks which other players without that specialisation would not be able to use: for example, crafting certain things.

A specialisation will be chosen upon character creation and will have the ability to be changed only once.

Each specialisation will be able to be levelled from level 1 to level 100, with small but definitely noticeable perks being granted at each level.

I think the main issue with a lot of the suggestions people have are that they're one time purchases, once you have the thing there's no reason to get it again. This is also the problem with most money sinks except the casino. I have had my own ideas for ways to combat this (though I don't fully know the direction the dev team wants to head in,) but what the gamemode could really use is some form of money sink that is continuous in some way and desirable enough for everyone to want to do it. How to do this without it feeling like a burden to the player is certainly a difficult issue, given that most of the current ones involve paying to repair or replace stuff that has already been lost.

Have you looked into any sort of time gated / scarce crafting materials? I was toying with the idea of stuff you can fish up (or get in other ways, perhaps via a daily mission,) that let you craft certain unique items or weapons (the issue here being the current saturation of weapons in the economy already.)

Can i ask, what is the end goal of this discussion, As we have our own idea like all of us have a thought on what we want but we don't own the server, We dont make the map u know as we all have diffrent ideas, So we could be making ideas and it will not be a ideal for you guys.

Sounds like alot of crim stuff is out the question, Like fredy said the atm's being robbed or gas stations would be disruptive, You have more legal roles that don't get used for example taxi as everyone and there mother, nan and great nan, have a 1965 mini lying around which while bad still gets you from a to b. That's the thing if we can get more info on what you guys are willing to put time into we can try and come up with something u know

But not all gas. Only higher end cars, which would realistically use a higher octane, would be more expensive. Maybe 4k to fill up instead of 1.4k. You'll find a way to balance it. Users are punished more for using their supercars all the time. It's not a huge burden, but it will eat more money than before. This adds incentives to use lower end cars as "daily drivers" instead of their Ferraris or Mercedes. You might start seeing an increase in the variety of cars seen around.

This won't fix the server but I think it would be a nice small change.

I don't think this is a terrible idea in all honesty but it would take a lot of planning and a lot of new things to be made before it would be practical to introduce, which then means we're sitting on made things rather than trying to get them into player's hands as fast as possible. So it's just a matter of finding things that players would want or could use. So I do think there's merit here but it may be a bit before anything like it happens.

I wouldn't say criminal stuff is out of the question, it's a matter of what is reasonable to add. As I mentioned in my initial post and has been mirrored in other comments, public criminal behavior tends to attract attention and if it involves something that could cause death people will try to die from it "for the lulz", an unnecessary report claiming they didn't know better, or whatever other excuse they'd try to use. Then we have others who would use it as their excuse to kill others. So that's part of the issue with something like using a bomb to blow up an ATM. As to answer your first inquiry, I don't really have an end goal per se. I've never felt there has ever been a point where I think "PH is as developed as it would need to be" or "This is the end goal of what I want PH to be", there's always more to be done. It's just that it simply takes time to do since we are such a small team.

That was part of my upper end vehicle suggestions that turned unpopular when I proposed them. I had brought it up again when I changed the SPOil signs to show the current price of fuel on them, but it was not any more popular then either.
