So for my birthday i might be upgrading my pc but i dont want to make it really pricey, this is my current specs and just want some tips

AMD Ryzen 5 3500 6-Core Processor
32.0 GB DDR4
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 [defo needs upgrading]

is there anything that can be better then what i have without it being pricey?

I have just had similar spec and upgraded to a 7800x3d and 9070 xt, but I just upgraded everything and probably spent far too much.

But prices are getting worse so bit the bullet.
I think it depends on your psu but I was told a 3060ti vs my old 1660 super + another 16gb ram (I only had 16)

You play mainly cpu intensive games, so if you CAN get this: https://www.cclonline.com/100-100000063wof-amd-ryzen-7-5800x-3-8ghz-octa-core-am4-cpu-331766/ - if thats out of your budget get something like this: https://www.cclonline.com/100-100000065box-amd-ryzen-5-5600x-3-7ghz-hexa-core-am4-cpu-331765/

For GPU - if you CAN (although its quite expensive, gpu prices are rough rn) get something like this https://www.scan.co.uk/products/xfx...6-graphics-card-rdna-4-2048-streams-3320mhz-b For squad VRAM is relatively important, however you could get away with 8gb at 1080p
If thats out of your budget get something like this: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/zot...dr6-ray-tracing-graphics-card-dlss-4-2560-cor people might say "wahh its only got 8gb of vram" but realistically, the pc market is shit rn... and its a "decent" price

Edit: right now id focus mainly on your GPU, whilst your CPU is out-dated and weak, your GPU is gonna REALLY start showing its age soon - also as other people have said, check out your PSU to check the wattage of it.

Idk what is your budget. If you need an upgrade not a new rig, i'd defo go for an x3d CPU. 5500x3d you could get at aliexpress for less than 200$ - That will be a massive improvement, its proven and tested by my friend @Hodgparjor that switched up from 3600 up to 5500x3d, and me switching from 5600x to 5800x3d.
These X3ds will not force you to buy new MOBO, RAM, drives etc and will give you a massive boost.

As for GPU, i'd go for the 5xxx range of nvidia due to DLSS 4. Even the 5060Ti 16gb will probably be decent if youre still flying the 1650 and will show you a massive difference, however they are pricey and thats a fact.

DO NOT!!!! Upgrade the GPU to 5070(or similar) without upgrading the CPU!!! I cant stress that, but I had 5600x, a CPU a notch better then yours paired with 5070, and especially in GMOD the CPU was a massive bottleneck (Rust, CS2 tested positive for that as well in 2k.). Your CPU needs an upgrade along with your GPU and you cant change one of the two and expect awesome results.

For gmod you need a good cpu cus it runs on source engine. I would recommend any of the ryzan cpus that ends with x3d. They are gonna help with fps alot. Same goes with minecraft. You really don't need a good gpu for either of them. Gpu only comes in handy when you play with shaders or very high graphics. When i played gmod i had intel cpu which became hot really fast and caused stuttering or sometimes lag. So avoid intel if you can. I also had 5060 ti only because i have 2k monitor and played dayz.
