Punishment Type: Ban
Appeal Type: Apology
Which staff member issued the punishment?: Steelo
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 1 Month
Your Steam Name: Borat
Your Roleplay Name: Bob Boogly
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:180694545
Why were you banned/blacklisted?: 3.24, 3.4 - The user drew their weapon while under direct gunpoint, resulting in their death. Upon respawning, the user noticed a Ford Transit had drugs poking out of the top and decided to run across the intersection, chasing after it. The user chased the van all the way to the bank and immediately jumped into it, stealing some of the drugs, again resulting in their death.
Why should this appeal be considered?: Hello Steelo,
I wanted to follow up since my last apology as I have been reflecting on the situation. I feel like we are misunderstanding each other. Firstly, I'd like to emphasize that I never intended to disrupt the Perpheads experience for others or act in a way that goes against the spirit of the community. I'm committed to assisting new players and maintaining my premium membership, as I truly enjoy the Perpheads experience and the fun situations it offers. I understand my record is bad, but I always have attempted to remedy the situation and do better. Although I have multiple bans from 3.4 it has been different situations, usually from specific details I misunderstood, from them I have learned multiple aspects of 3.4: You cannot go into cover and draw a weapon, you cannot drive off if you are in a vehicle, and you cannot run off once being hands upped. That being said, please consider the following as I put a lot of thought into it and how I can do better.
Regarding the 3.4, I promise that it was an instinctual reflex and I did not intend to aim or shoot at the players, I tried to holster it but due to latency with US I got shot before I could. I got jumpscared when they walked in and since I mainly play FPS shooters or even in Gmod SCP servers where its heavy combat focused, my brain got scrambled and I scrolled and clicked. I understand that instinctual reactions like that can be just as bad as intentionally failing gunpoint. I apologized immediately in OOC and phoondos said GG so I assume that's not the main thing you are enforcing here which is why I will be rather brief on the 3.4, the following 3.24 incident with the drugs in the van situation is what got your attention and caused the ban.
Regarding that 3.24 incident, I had not at the time thought of it as that deep, but rethinking it, it really was and should have set alarm bells off in my head not to do that. While I was waiting outside I had saw the van with the drugs poking out of the roof, and although I should have realized this, I didn't think it was the raiders- but I now know that it was. So from your guys' perspective I look like an absolute asshole, and I promise I am not, but my actions were in fact those of an asshole. After gunpointing me and me pulling out a gun, I then did the failRP with the van to the same group, which were holding MY ORGS drugs. I promise that I did not put two and two together and was not malicious and seeking revenge; in my head I was just trying to help out the new player because the drugs I had just dropped him got stolen. This makes it a huge offence, but even if it wasn't you guys, it would still be a huge 3.24 offence. I never really understood the rules when it came to van farming as I had never done that or been in a situation like that, but it should be obvious that I cannot jump into the back of random players vehicles for no valid reason... All this said I understand how my actions were egregious and justified a 1 month ban. If I were you I would be quite frustrated.
When I get back on the server, I promise that I will not act as outrageously as I have. I acknowledge my mistakes and understand the importance of following the rules, even if it means letting go of in-game gains. I've taken the time to thoroughly review the rules during my absence and am committed to strict adherence in the future... To be honest with you, I had never fully read the rules which has been part of why my record has been so bad. During this time off I have read in detail every rule, and am committed to strict adherence going forwards. I want you to know that although I make long apology posts that I am not meaning to be argumentative or disrespectful, in fact it is the opposite, I have reflected on what you have said to me and the rules and I hope to apply it in game if given a second chance. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
