Why were you banned/blacklisted?: Cuffed a civilian randomly and left the area leaving the person in cuffs for a long period of time.
Why should this appeal be considered?: First of all, I am not sure for which exact situation I was blacklisted for, but I am guessing it was for the situation at Regal apartment (if this is not the case I would like to withdraw my appeal). I was called in for shots fired at Regal apartment, me and another officer raided regal apartment 5 due to the shots. When we entered we saw a number of bodies and we encountered two men. We put these two men at gunpoint and cuffed them. We called for EMS at code 3 and they were able to revive two of the wounded subjects. One of the males had a shotgun and they were many weed pots found in the apartment ( I do have all of the pictures). However, during this time there was a break in at projex apartment and due to severity and the limited units available the other officer had to leave. So it was me and 4 men in cuffs, I tried my best to understand the situation by asking them what exactly happened and they responded by saying they were raided, but my main concern was the drugs found in the apartment. When I asked whos drugs this was they answered by saying it is all of us is. So I had to arrest all of the subjects by myself. Due to me being outnumber I had to call for prisoner transport, but all the units were unavailable. So the supervisor at the time told me to transport them myself. However, this job was very difficult due to them running away and me constantly needing to drag them. Shortly after two of the cuffed mens were able to escape and i was able to arrest two of the males. Nevertheless, after a short while I returned to the building to check if everything was confiscated and to check if the males returned, I saw the two men again in the apartment. So I cuffed the two men in the apartment. If they had a clip, they would have not showed the first part but not the second which would have made it seem like I randomly cuffed them, but this wasn't the case. After this his friend locked himself in a room and took out his guns and started shooting me, I was able to kill the armed men. However, from underneath another man with a shotgun came from the fire exit which i was also able to kill. This lead to a long case and lead to them being arrested. Sorry for the long story but hopefully i was able to explain it as clear as possible, if you want to see the pictures of the raid I would love to upload it.
Additional Information: Thank you for reading and I do apologies if I did to do anything wrong I have only been in the PLPD for 1 day and I think it was very overwhelming situation for any new officer to be in and i do think I could have handled it a bit better but again i am not very experienced.
