Criminal Discussion

I don't have anything useful to add to this thread but a suggestion popped up in my head that I feel is interesting to discuss. How do you guys feel about adding more ways for crims to get into pvp? Because right now there is bank, raiding and mugging. Other things like getting raided or KOSing someone is kind of like a bonus, and can't be consistently replicated. I honestly enjoy PVP on both sides but on crim I think it would be fun to have smaller combat scenarios to conduct. Especially if you are doing it alone and your org members aren't on. This would also make smaller weaponry like pistols and shotguns more viable.

Like I said, I just thought of this suggestion and I don't really know if anyone will agree with it. Please don't flame me!

I did come up this suggestion a couple months ago that may be of relevance to what you're suggesting
 
Perp just feels dead in general from every angle, PD is almost impossible to progress past SGT, as seen by the fact we have more SGTs then almost any other role

RP is dead, latest community spotlight and 90% of the things highlighted were people making shops, they just make the shop to sell things and go afk in the back and this is worth highlighting?

Crim based stuff is too easy, boring and repetitive, place drugs, pick the drugs, sell the drugs, god life is relentless

And to top it off we just lost one of the more active Devs that did a lot of the modelling, maybe its time for community management to start engaging and figure out a way forward with the community to stop any further stagnation
Fully agree. Not saying we need money drop and stupid shitty events but I feel the community managers are missing out big time on community interaction. I’m a NA player so I play late at night when server is dead. It’ll be 70 people with maybe 20 people not afk in a shop, afk at spawn, or just power growing. At best you can beg for gun game and that’s basically it lol.

Also what’s the point of even having melee weapons in the game other then to bs?? They do shit damage and it’s literally a rule break to raid with. Why not rework them into an actual useful tool to raid with? Idk how maybe upgraded speed like cops if you have the katana out. Would be fun to raid with lol not necessarily good but at least fun.

An example would be a mission where the main objective would have a high chance of getting you into a combat scenario where you are forced to use a certain type of weapon like concealables or melees for example (and obviously there needs to be some kind of reward, otherwise it just becomes unrealistic). I suck at coming up with suggestions but I feel like a template resembling what I just went over could be good?

maybe like, hit lists? since players can have kos on someone because they mugged them in the same life or whatever they can instead like set a bounty on a hit list for their latest mugger as a mission and ur only avaliable to do the mission with a concealable firearm
 
Not enough competitive organisation like ( GS9 , SFG, Liquid )
I think this is one of the main reasons why some people including me who don't really play perp anymore. You can't base without a Zerg of 9-10 raiding your base of 4 people. It's also the main reason why I don't like basing and I just sit at bazaar for like 15-20 mins and I log off. Keep in mind gmod came out in 2006 and some of you are playing like Faze karrigan in this game it's getting hella annoying when you're trying to play cop or causally play. I think this is the main reason why the Devs don't really wanna update anything for crim because ya'll are overpowered regardles sof what gun you use.

FYI for certain properties such as hungries and places with breakable glass in office etc it can be a quieter alternative to breaking in (still have a gun with u ofc) than just shooting the glass

Everyone talks about the crim zerg, but forget that PD does the same. I've said the same thing before but we were in V5 and it was more balanced back then: Doing any criminal activity by yourself or in a small group that doesn't involve camping muggable areas or stealing cars is impossible to do without getting swarmed by PD zerg.

Now in V6 it's worse. The map is more open meaning you can get hit from a hundred different angles which gives even more incentive to zerg. On top of that, the combat and movement nerf that hurt crims more than PD.

I'm not surprised that cheating is a lot more common nowadays...

It's crazy how you're saying this while Half of the "Comp orgs" can beat the Zerg PD. I seen it happen many times I have seen 10 officers go after a org who is zerging and still lose. Keep in mind which is the top ZERG orgs

All I'm saying is this server has gotten worse with PVP and this server is just pvp and it's fucking annoying and makes the server not fun and unplayable
 
I don't know if it's dying, but it is definitely boring asf. Boring as shit when you're winning, boring as shit when you're losing, mega boring standing in a base AFK to replenish your supplies and funds to go do more boring stuff. Sitting in the PD parking lot in Heavy Gear waiting for a response & doom scrolling feels more captivating sometimes. Can't take anything seriously either because everyone is hacking, half the time the guns don't hit how they are supposed to, you have to deal with the usual dinosaur source engine aids, people loading their magazines with F6 bullets, etc.

It's already pretty bad when you don't take it all that seriously and just play for fun, so I feel extra bad for those who give it any real merit, sweat, cry, spam reports, and spread toxicity over it. It could definitely use something, but I both have no idea what that could be nor do I think it's even worth thinking about since the average players will probably just make it unfun, annoying, and/or inevitably boring like everything else.

same mentality as people who play 250 hours of a game and then complain there isnt enough content lmao
