Hello PERPHeads,
I know the majority of you are morbidly obese but there's got to be some of you out there who cycle.

At the moment I've got a low/mid range hybrid bike but really really want a road bike. Any suggestion for less than £1k?
Also, I want a phone mount so I can use maps and listen to music without being worried about crushing my phone or wires getting caught in zips.
I've been thinking about this mount in particular.

Ideas and discussion welcome!

i think this will suit your needs quite well, has got racer tires. a bag to hold your items in (made out of plastic), and obviously as you can see a pretty cool design.

I don't have a cycle, can't effort it.
In my country we only use them for this.

Believe it or not Chrissy, I used to be an avid cyclist, I owned a mid/high end road bike along with a mid/high end mountain bike.

For Road Bikes I would highly recommend Orbea, they also make amazing mountain bikes

Another good choice is Specialized

Prices are clearly cheaper on bike retailers, don't let these prices drive you away

And for anyone interested mountain bikes from Commencal are amazing

Orange bikes are the best, had my alpine for years and it still beats the competition! They're pretty damn popular so maybe look for a used one. Buying a new bike isn't really needed, as long as the used bike is in good nick.
