Download problem

I'm currently having an issue When downloading on steam, It downloads at normal speed for 10 seconds, then the download speed decreases all the way down to 0 when it stops, after 1 minute or so it starts again and the whole process happens all over again.

Any help?

What I've done -
Set a limit to my download speed
Cleared download cache
Changed server location

I recently deleted my Garrysmod and I'm not trying to reinstall it, it has been 3 hours and I've still got 1 gb left, which Ironically would be downloaded in like 2 secs if my downloads were not broken

Try to switch download servers. I remember when I had that issue, so I switched from a download server in Austria to one in Canada and it downloaded with no problem at all

This happens to me quite frequently I recently went out and bought and rputer and hooked it up to a Ethernet port and it's been going flawlessly. Don't buy a new router but if you haven't already try hooking up a Ethernet line.

Fixed - It was an ISP related issue, We contacted them and the next morning it ran smoothly
