Hey guys, I am in a mental dilemma. Now my birthday is on the 8th of April, so it is in a couple weeks. My current laptop's (http://imgur.com/QS9U2FI) headphone jacks spot does not work. So for the time being I've been using a really cheap Chinese(No Racism Intended) headset which connects via USB port. The headset no longer works. Now Should I wait for my birthday with a 50/50 chance of getting a New Laptop (http://imgur.com/18ixMwy) the first one [Alienware Mx14] OR Should I wait or go buy another one of those headsets, note I am not completely sure about the new laptop.

Thanks, Black Jesus

Laptop.
Sound is integrated in the laptop anyways and you can always use earpods or something untill you have more money.
A better gameplay experience is more enjoyable (i talk about more fps ) then the little difference in quality of sound in my opinion.

First of all, I agree with Shortyzz, always prioritize the PC over the peripherals. Secondly, unless it is necessary for you to get a laptop (desk space, schoolwork etc) I would seriously advise getting a desktop, by either getting one built or finding an unbranded one on ebay. Because looking at the spec to price ratio of that Alienware, you could do much better for yourself for a cheaper price, leaving breathing space for a $60 headset. Of course you'll need a monitor, mouse and keyboard.

Go for the Laptop I don't think a really good headset is needed just buy some earpods like Shortyzz said, and save some money for a nice headset. Thats my opinion.

I would definitely recommend going for a Laptop because overall that is more important.

Money isn't the issue, it's space. My family never tends to stay in one place. So I prefer my laptop. Sooner or later I will go to create my own PC

What ever you do don't buy Alienware, they are absolutely terrible, if you 'Have' to buy a laptop get an asus, buying a gaming laptop is pretty stupid but if your going to buy one don't go halfs and buy an Alienware they have rubbish built quality and are extremely overpriced for what they are.

Edit: Alienware offer a 1 year warranty, basically that tells you they know there product is going to break.

I might be the only one to think this, but ROG has some pretty kickass computers...

Err, Laptop, if you have to get a laptop, go for a laptop, there might be the chance that in 8 months you'll get the headset you want (If you celebrate Christmas) Or just save up money and buy it for yourself, when you buy something with your own money, you feel good :p

Oh and don't buy the parts at different times as computer parts tend to be out of date very quickly... Pro tip there :)
