Is my computer fucked?

When laptops stop randomly work it's usually because the heat has caused something to reach it's end of life span. In other words, time to buy a new laptop or spend about the same sending it to a tech shop for repair.

HENCE WHY YOU DO NOT GAME ON A LAPTOP, TIME TO BUY A MINI ITX PC WITH A PORTABLE MONITOR

This might be the dumbest comment I've read all day, you cannot expect a dead GPU to show signs based on what it looks like. Cmon guys this is simple tech 101.
If the GPU or something else is non-functioning the only way to tell is if someone rips it apart and tests each part

One more advice is very simple but ended up working out for me, might not be for the same issue but there's no harm in trying.

Long story short, I was playing scum, and typically, I never have any problems with it and/or crashes, but after updating my drivers with geforce experience, it all went south, I started gettings tons of "Fatal Errors" as they're commonly known for being called in the SCUM community, so I looked through all kinds of threads, some things felt pointless whilst some I was hopeful for, one was to clear the download cache on steam, which actually seems to have helped as after this, I didn't get any more fatal errors that day anyway.

I'll post a screenshot "tutorial" of how to find said page on steam (not that it's at all difficult but simply to make life easier!)
As seen in the first screenshot, click on Steam in the up-left corner, then the Settings page.

Once there, choose the Downloads page on the lefthandside.

And once there, simply choose "Clear Download Cache" as seen in the screenshot.
Worth trying, no harm.

are you playing while plugged in or on battery? bcz the gpu sometimes turn off while on battery bcz it needs alot of power

I'm sure I've got the solution for you. You're gonna need to disable Nvidia optimus, this can usually be done through the Laptop's provided application, or by installing your GPU drivers through nvcleaninstall.

So follow the steps here, and then install the drivers through nvcleaninstall and making sure to not select Nvidia optimus.

this isnt for the asus nitro 5 an515-45-R5g6

In that case, if the laptop indeed doesn't have a mux switch then try underclocking your GPU. First check if the bios has this option as my Lenovo laptop does and I'd assume yours do too, then afterwards try doing it through MSI afterburner

I just want to let everyone know, I went through and he seems to be receiving an Nvldd error BSOD. Which means it could be anything from corrupted drivers, from ram issues, to something with his motherboard bios, or the GPU straight up being faulty. So this man is not exactly in the best position at this point. Sorry @Goonsberg

I found he was also using an auto-overclocking tool which also was not epic, but wasn't the issue.

Honestly if this is the case then just do a re-install of Windows.

Wouldn't hurt to do a chkdsk /r /f in CMD first if your drive is somehow corrupted from whatever you installed.

make sure the gpu driver are updated

also the bios

when you join game open msi after burner and watch gpu/cpu temp might be over heat
