Description of the idea: Very minor addition but essentially, make it like the TV where you can post a link into the picture frame and have it display the image at the end of the link

Why should this be added? (pros): Adds a use to the picture frames and can be used for things like passive rp cafe menus

What negatives could this have? (cons): Only con that I can really see is that it is an extremely minor suggestion and might be a waste of time implementing, but would still be nice to have.

How would we be able to block content that should not be displayed in-game? Such as racist and sexual content.

You can't. Same goes for the TV, YouTube does not flag racist and sexual content right away so people can still display it. So enforce it, give them a warning/ban and blacklist then from using it in the future.

Whats the worst that could happen? Just let people report the picture if they're offended

That's not how it works, is it? Steps should always be taken to try to minimize the risk of people showing inappropriate or even illegal pictures. There is a greater chance of something like this happening with a static picture than a video.

Same does not go for the TV. YouTube moderate the videos that are uploaded, illegal content is removed when reported and found. This is not really possible with images, as it's much easier for people to re-upload images each time.

If something like this is to be introduced, it's probably better for us to have a list of images that are approved.

Then only whitelist certain imaging hosting sites, like idk imgur. If anyone puts anything illegal on a picture frame, then shock, CWB ban and report them to the police. Most people would use the picture frame, without breaking any rules.

@Samuel would it be possible to only accept images from Imgur maybe or another moderated platform like that?

While having staff moderate each post sounds sensible staff should not have to be subjected to the type of things people could upload on to it and I feel like this would be abused as a meme by some members of the community. The images should only be displayed if they come from a moderated website such as imgur and there should be a blacklist function with zero tolerance and depending on the seriousness of what was uploaded bans may be handed out
