Main Idea: The mayor election will automatically activate after a set time.
Full description of the idea:
- Now that you're no longer allowed to run for mayor to speed up the process of the election you can go hours on end hoping for a mayor. 2 or more people must be running for mayor then the timer would start, this timer would be 30 minutes to an hour. This would be something to ensure that an election can actually take place.
- city-wide broadcast whenever someone puts their name forward. This would be limited to one broadcast every minute, listing the players who put their name forward in the last minute. The solution to people spamming this is there is a 5 minute limit on times you can put your name back in.
Why should it be added?: This would allow for a mayor election more frequently without the need of a minumun players needed to be 5(It would need 2 people). In addition, this would allowed players to know who is running for mayor prior to the election.
Pros:
- There would be a mayor more often, meaning the city funds will be managed better, more police slots, and the server will have a mayor.
- You will know whose running for mayor which means more people would likely vote for who they want to win instead of just instantly clicking a random name.
Cons:
- Election could be considered unfair cause there's a chance some players won't be able to run for mayor.
