Suggestion Title: Music Recording + Sales (Record Economy!)
Suggestion Description: Imagine getting together in Slums 2 and making an illegal bootleg operation of a single made by an opposite company.
Imagine going into Bazz 7 and picking up Now And Then on blue wax, going home, playing it in Slums 4 and then getting raided.
The crackle and fizzle of a cassette or vinyl record would add some much needed atmosphere, and frankly "culture" to the game outside of cars and clothes.

A modification on a previous idea I've posted; a way to make and sell music.
Where the TVs work with Youtube links, things like record players or cassettes could be made and embedded with links. Bandcamp links, Soundcloud links, Spotify, etc. Some system to attach a link of music to a format, and to make it play when the format is reproduced using the appropriate player.

Appropriate formats also require appropriate formats.
Something as simple as a CD would already be plenty for me, where you simply attach a single song or possibly an album link, pop it in your stereo and have it blasting sweet music.

Other formats might lend a bit better to the whole "economy" bit of it.
Having cassettes, for one, would allow for a cheaper solution to produce and sell music, but would degrade in quality after a certain amount of plays and break.
Vinyl record would be a more expensive option for consumers, but would be insanely resilient against breaking, being able to keep its' quality for the longest.
CDs in this version would be somewhere between the two, with a better durability than cassettes, but worse than vinyl due to a cheaper cost.

This system would make people think about what format they want to produce on, and making the efficiency of certain formats make themselves better for different projects.
A simple, one-off single? A cassette might be more efficient.
An EP? CD is there.
A fully fledged album? A vinyl record is your friend.

A durability system would also give a sense of collecticism, similiar to the statues in game, where mint copies of old album presses may be more expensive than others, and also giving reasons for people to repress albums on formats, and giving active goals to companies to produce new music with new artists.
This would work by the durability recording via a gradient over time, like a counter for each time it's played, or a gradient of how crunchy the music might get at worse durabilities.

To actually make the music, it would be dependent on the equipment for each press and would require more preparation for each format.

Cassettes, with low cost and low durability, would be as simple as getting a cassette recorder and recording the music. Then this cassette can be duplicated onto other cassettes, also creating a bootleg market for underground music industries and creating a law of piracy that could also be enacted. To stop bootlegging if you are a company who produces legitimate copies, the copies could be acquisitioned and destroyed when acquired by the parent company. These could be played in cassette players, that could also be embedded into cars for mobile music.
CDs would require computers and CD recorders to produce, being able to hold less music than a cassette but having a higher durability than a cassettes. These could also be played in higher end cars such as Lexus IS Fs, but not found within supercars due to the priority of speed over luxury.
Records would be the most complicated and expensive, but would give the highest durability and allow for the music to be played the most. It would require a lathe cutter + inverse plate cutter, a record press, the necessary labels and wax, and the expensive record players too.

To make a point of players staking "claim" over certain artists, players could submit the tracks or records they wish to produce to a moderator system, where they review the track submitted via a verified streaming service and it is added to a list. When a player tries to make a music format with this track, it will warn them that it may be an "illegitmate process". Therefore, players making bootlegs know of their actions and can avoid it, or it could allow companies to negotiate over pressing rights and makes a new way to make money by "claiming" these artists.

This would all obviously be done with a massive disclaimer of "we don't own the music, we simply use it as funny in game thing :) " with a big hefty label slapped on, but if done effectively with proper embedding systems like how the TVs check for YT links, it could be performed well and allow for a new culture and system of making money without killing or roaming looking for a mug.

All of this could be done up to interpretation of those making it, but if you want to brainstorm ideas about how it could work, throw it down below and I can try to show ideas of how it could go through.

- Allows for people to find new music tastes
- Allows for organizations to establish themselves within a certain facet, such as CD or cassette production.

What negatives could this have?:
- Abuse if the music submission system is not monitored
- Bootlegging could create unnecessary conflicts

What problem would this suggestion solve?: This would solve the problem of people who don't like to fight or craft, and allows people to be more conversational when it comes to their belongings, above conversation about gun sights.
