Need good Student Account

This thread is pretty much 100% aimed at 16+ British people so sorry everyone else

Hello guys. I'm starting University in September which means I am eligible to get a student account. However I'm not quite sure who to bank with to get the best deal. I'm with Natwest at the moment who can give me 10% off National Express travel but I hear Santander offer rail discounts.

I'm wondering if anyone here has a student account and what benefits do they get from it? I'm looking for one that gives me discounts on Travel, especially from/in London.

get an 18+ family member to co-sign a full account with you, it works out better with you and if they have good general credit it allows you to get better amenities and smaller charges for issues like bounced checks if they occur.

I am commenting more on the "student account" part, I am not from the UK and know no banks there.
